Within the world you dwell in, a storm is brewing. It is visible to many, so far, and most are completely unaware of its approach. They no longer notice the fall and rise of the air about them, the tightening of the pressure, or the release of rain, for they dwell within their glass tower and no longer feel a part of the elements and the dance between them. But you do, Seeker, and you are aware that there is a force gathering. What its outcome will be, how it will break, and what it will do are still mysteries, but you can prepare for this storm approaching.
Others will not listen. Others will see you as “negative” or “fearful” when you inform them of what it is you are preparing for. Regardless, prepare anyway. Watch. And take care of what it is you need to do. This is nothing to be fearful of. It is simply advance knowledge of a storm – and storms can damage, or they can pass overhead and clear the air. It is wise to prepare. The Sentinel of the Skies, this dragon being, has come to you, and you are invited now to see things from his magical perspective – to go high above the buildings and the everyday, and see the implications of the change that is coming.
This gift of foresight from the friends of the Kitsune will see you well-prepared for the gathering storm and will give you foresight and enable you to look out for those who will listen. Make wise choices, preserve, take care, observe, repair, and prepare, and consider what you will do to be sure you are cared for in the future. Know that when the storm passes – for they all will – you will be standing strong and able to help others, if necessary, and continue with your life. You are being watched over – the Sentinel will stand with you, always.

At this moment, there is confusion over which direction to take. There are decisions which need to be made, but at this stage there is no sense that one way will be the “right way”. Amidst this inertia and inability to choose comes this Kitsune, wielding with it the luminous power of Foxfire. With this magical flame, worries and concerns can be burned away, and the dark road ahead, upon which you have been stumbling, falling, hurting yourself, and becoming lost, will not be lit with the bright fire. This Kitsune know you have been lost and will take you forward with a long, bright chain of fire, stretching into the distance. But first, like the fox, you must find your courage, and begin to walk forward into the fire around you. in this way, there will be no flame that can burn you. There will be no harm or regret, but simply the act of movement in the direction of the flame, which will provide you with all you need to know at this time.
Let yourself see, clearly, the flame dancing and the road they dance upon. See, clearly, that movement itself will save you from the despair which has led to the sense of futility and loss. And know that this Kitsune’s role is to help you now, and to see you through till that clear path is fully opened and bright, and you can find your way on your own, once again. And with that ability, your passion and desire for life, your daily rejoicing in simply being here, will return, too. The negativity will be burned away until all that remains is the hope and the courage and the passion, once again. Trust the fires or the fox. And begin to step into the bright heart of the flame.

Sleep no more, soul child. The time for rest is done – and now you are awakened to action by the great golden Dragon of the Day, ancient friend to the Kitsune. In the realms unseen by most humans, forgotten by nearly all humans, there are great dragons who stand at the edge of the day’s birth and death, helping all within the realm to arise and awaken to the blessings of each day. The great golden dragon within this card heralds the awakening of the day – and when this card comes to you, you know you are being called to arise and awaken to a new day within your life. You are called to awaken to your own belief and your own knowledge, to the truth of your own good soul, and to rise up and embrace it all – to know your worth and your beauty and to shine it out through the day before you.
Treat this as a new time, even when it contains old stories, as it is still a great and beautiful opportunity to take all that is within you and make the very most of all that is. When this card comes to you, it is a reminder, too, that there are parts of you which are asleep or resting – dormant, and under-loved, under-lived – and they must now be awakened. Let them now gently awaken, one by one, as the days before you unfold, so that they come to life again, not as dreams and ideas any longer, but as events and experiences that become your life.
