I have had many roles in this lifetime. I have been a daughter, wife, mother, songwriter/guitarist, horse trainer, professional belly dancer/instructor/costumer, an avid road-tripper, a volunteer at a hybrid wolf shelter, published writer, a raw food chef, a dreamer and a water skier. I am fortunate to have experienced being all of these people in distinct moments of my life.
I enjoyed each one of my passions and participated in them with all my being. Some of them lasted just a few years while others I still carry in my heart. I have loved horses since I was introduced to them as a very young child. Writing songs and playing guitar I have done off and on since I was in high school. Belly dancing lasted over twenty years and supported itself through the sale of custom costumes for other dancers and as a paid performer in restaurants as well as teaching. My varied interests over the years have brought much joy into my life and that of others. I loved each one in its moment of time.
Today, I have discovered a new passion, one that will continue on for as long as I am needed to provide it. Today I am a gardener, and my garden is the heart of humanity across this planet. The seeds I plant are those of wisdom, courage, acceptance, change, unconditional love, kindness, authenticity, awareness, healing, truth and personal growth.
Each seed falls upon the fertile soil of the heart that needs it. It may lie there, unknown to the person, until they wake up to the fact that their life is out of balance in some way, the unhappiness they feel jerks them awake enough to do something about it or they realize that there is something better waiting and available for them. Other seeds take root immediately, growing as quickly as the person can process what is happening to them. Going with the flow allows a person to advance without delay as the seed blossoms into knowledge and awareness.
Unfortunately, not all seeds come to fruition. Some fester and rot due to the unwillingness of the person to accept the change that needs to happen for them to be truly happy. The resistance they feel only causes the existing discomfort to last longer than is needed. Fear of change and the unknown brings stagnation and loss of self. Many people choose to stay with what they know, stuck in patterns that keep the little better than drones with no true direction to follow.
It is my hope and prayer that the seeds I plant today have a positive effect on you and that they find fertile soil within your heart for the benefit of your soul’s growth. It is not an easy time on planet earth as we are all affected by the chaotic changes going on within Gaia as well as ourselves. The best we can do is to realize that each one of us is a soul having a human experience. We came here with the specific purpose of learning and to expand into lives of peace, grace, compassion, kindness and unconditional love.
When we cease to respond out of fear and a resistance to change, when we surrender to the higher intelligence from which we come, our lives become a testament to everyone else around us that it is possible to overcome our challenges and live a magnificent life of our choosing. Opening the doors to our own advancement opens doors for more people to discover the courage needed to venture through doors of their own on the way to their enlightenment.
So today, I am a gardener, spreading seeds of hope, faith and love across the planet through my blog posts. Allow the ones that you need to settle in your heart. Nourish them with all that is good, all that is true and all that is love. Become the awakener and opener of doors to a higher form of existence for all your friends and family. Trust that the good you do is appreciated and accepted by others although you may or may not ever see the results.
If you are willing, you will reap the harvest of a vastly improved life filled with peace, prosperity, abundance and love.
