Make your heart as free as the skies. Use your five senses. Free yourself from fear. Don’t be bound by convention.

What is it you hope to accomplish in your life? To reach your aspirations and goals, you must be like the wide-open skies, unburdened and unfettered. Hone your five senses and free your heart of its barriers. Your freedom is captive to nothing and no one. If you feel walled in, the solution is simple: you need only jump over the wall. Let go of your fears and anxieties and simply be responsible for yourself. That wall in your heart isn’t as tall as you might imagine.

Fukujoju Nyorai sits on the Throne of Garuda, a legendary bird who sacred its mother from being the slave of a dragon. His right palm is held outward in from of his chest, facing us in the Fear-Removing Mudra, which symbolizes there is nothing to be afraid of, nothing to be anxious about: all is well. Fukujoju Nyorai represents taking time taking time to hone your senses and thinking about what it is you can do before taking action.

Keep a strong heart that is not easily swayed. Others are drawn to your power. Realize what true consideration is. Don’t be swayed.

You possess a fierce heart that stands firm and is not easily swayed, coupled with a strong will to take action. You often take the initiative, letting your actions speak for you. This may cause others to find you intimidating at first glance, but you are also loyal, always considerate, and kind to others. They say that truly kind people also possess strength, and in your case, you possess real strength that allow you to fully see your decisions through, with your feet planted firmly on the ground.

Fudo Myo-o is the incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai, full of righteous anger. In his left hand, he holds a kensaku rope used to capture things: he uses it to pull us close and guide us on the right path. The sharp sword in his right hand is used to cut away thoughts of darkness. Fudo Myo-o may look frightening with his expression of rage, but he is actually a very kind Wisdom King who cares for humanity. Of the thirteen deities who care for us in the afterlife, he is in charge of the seventh day, meaning that he is the first Buddha who is by our side when we pass.

Your failures will make you stronger. Don’t close off your heart. Purification through tears. Accomplishments that only you can achieve.

This card brings a message that you are weary from battling a great many things. You may not be one to complain but know that it’s perfectly okay to cry when you need to. There is no need to be perfect. There are so many things that you are capable of and even more things that only you are capable of. Focus your emotions on what it is that you can do. You are a kind and gentle spirit who takes care of others, but don’t forget to take care of yourself.

Tara also means ‘eye’. From long ago, the Tara Bosatsu has been prayed to for healing eye ailments and in time of childbirth. The petals of the blue lotus flower in her hand are sharp blades that symbolize our salvation through cutting darkness from our hearts. It is said that if you devote yourself to the Buddha with a heart as pure as the blue lotus, all of your dreams will come true. Tara Bosatsu is a merciful bosatsu who watches over us all, a gentle mother who will bring us salvation.

Blessings: A cure for eye ailments, safe childbirth, being granted what you desire.
