Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate

The last day of 2022. It seems to have passed so quickly yet so much has happened in all of our lives. We’ve come through good times and bad times. We’ve laughed and cried, been knocked down and have risen again and again. We are stronger for the experiences we’ve been through. And a new year is about to begin, filled with promise and hope.
Let’s end this year with some rest, rest from fear, from the effects of hard times, from all sorrow and pain. Let’s rest and allow it all to flow away as water running downhill to the sea. Just breathe long, slow breaths. Feel the change within your body and how you feel. Sit a while out in nature if weather permits. Or sit by a plant in your home. The natural world has a special way of slowing us down into a restful state of being.
While in this restful state of just being, allow your body to relax. Feel all uncomfortable energy flow out through your feet and into the ground. There is no need to carry it any longer. Let all unpleasant memories flow out of you. You do not need to keep regurgitating them and making yourself feel bad.
Relax and enter this coming year with hope, faith and a knowing that all will be as it should be. Let love flourish within your heart. Feel the constant love from your Creator in your heart. Send this loving feeling out to all you know and don’t know. The world needs love right now so it can relax as well. All creatures on this planet have been through so much and are ready for a respite. You can do this through prayer, meditation or just by sending the feeling of love out through your heart chakra. Don’t forget to send some to yourself.
Drink water and simple foods to allow your body to work on rejuvenation. Rest and relaxation are very helpful, but your body also needs pure nourishment right now. Spend time with people who love and care about you. Love is powerful energy and heals so much of what we are carrying that we no longer need. Let people know how much you love and appreciate them for being in your life. Connect with friends and family who live far away or just down the street.
Forgive those who have caused you harm or emotional distress this past year. Forgive yourself also. Repair the emotions that are out of balance and find equilibrium within. Release all so that you can start the new year with a clean slate.
May you be blessed and find peace and love within your heart.
