As a writer, much of what I do comes through as a download from Spirit. It comes easily and swiftly, so much that I can’t keep up with handwritten blogs. I sit at my laptop and type as quickly as I can to keep up with the amount of information that wants to come through. I understand that many writers can sit down and force the material they need to write but I cannot do this. I have tried and when I do, I don’t like what is on the page. There is no rhythm to the words, no cohesiveness or ease of reading.
Usually when the flow of words isn’t happening, I move on to something else that needs to be done. But there is always a niggling of uncomfortable energy hanging around me. Even when the flow isn’t transpiring, I still feel the urge to write something. Anything.
Today, I realized that when the words don’t come smoothly, I need to change the energy moving through my body. Blocked energy in my body keeps the flow of information from coming through. To remove the blocked energy, I need to move my body. A little bit of exercise like squats or push-aways, (leaning against the kitchen counter with my feet about two and a half feet away and pushing back from it with my upper body while keeping my torso straight), gets the body engaged. When the blood begins to move energetically through my body, it also opens me up to the energy of Spirit. Dancing to music also works for me.
When I am open to the energy of Spirit, the connection to universal knowledge also opens up. I am able to write easily and effortlessly. The words are arranged in ways that creates interest with whatever appears on the page. When I read what is on the page, I am pleased with the result.
Unblocking energy does work, even when motivation to do something isn’t there. Getting internal energy unblocked and moving works for just about anything you’re not inspired to do. Getting out of the house or office, taking a walk or going for a cup of coffee, changes your perception on a lack of flow. Fresh air often brings fresh ideas and ways of dealing with the flow of words, of getting something done that you are resistant to doing.
So, to get something written today, I moved my body and was inspired to write about flow and the lack of it. We are told to go with the flow but sometimes we have to create our own flow. And words come much easier when I am in the flow.
