From a very young age, I felt that I was to partner with someone, that we are supposed to do ‘something’ together. I looked for this person all my life, until now, that is. This understanding came to me recently: This person I am to partner with has been inside of me all along. It is the essence of the original creator of my soul, the god-self that lives within me.
We have been taught that God is somewhere ‘out there’ and not within us. A much-maligned entity, a vengeful, filled with judgement and wrathful being, someone to fear, not embrace and love. This is the great lie we have been forced to endure as a way to control us and our actions. This is the great illusion of our lives. There is no separation. We are all part of the consciousness that created us.
We are distracted by external things, objects, relationships, careers, hobbies. We seek to find happiness, validation and love from some source outside of ourselves. What takes us so long to learn and understand is that everything we seek and need, is already and always has been, within us all along. We are just looking for it in all the wrong places.
Our creator is within us as much as we are within them. We are connected on all levels of consciousness throughout all dimensions of time and space. Just this realization of this fact alone can propel us into a higher vibrational existence. We are meant to thrive, to learn and grow spiritually, not to be enchanted by external distractions from who we truly are. Whatever good feeling we receive from external sources is fleeting, never truly satisfying us.
The knowledge of this internal resource is not enough. We need to live it to experience it. We cannot wish ourselves to have it. It requires courage to un-learn what we have been taught for the greater part of our lives. It is only through deep soul work that we can open our hearts to the truth: We are never alone. All we need is within our hearts. It cannot be obtained through thinking but only through experience and acceptance of this fact.
If you are seeking, as I was for most of my long life, examine your beliefs to see which ones were given to you as a means of control by someone in your life. This is your opportunity to decide which ones have validity for you and which ones no longer serve your spiritual growth. Seek new ways to find validation within the specialness that is you. Look for beliefs that provide you with faith, trust and happiness. Do you to the best of your ability and master the lessons you came here to learn.
You are a sacred and divine sovereign being. You are meant to shine your special light on the world and bring joy and happiness to others as well as to yourself. The sparks from your inner divine light will ignite the light within others. This is sacred work. Undertake it daily as the world needs more light so that everyone can see the blessedness of all beings.
