UNCOVERING TREASURE: “Beneath the surface lies great bounty.”
Look beneath the surface in your life, and you’ll find treasure. Bounty is awaiting you in many forms. The secret is knowing that you deserve it and are worthy of it. Something that you thought was ordinary will turn out to be extra-ordinary. Take a second to look at the people and situations in your life. Sometimes receiving treasure is simply a matter of seeing life in a new way. The treasure was always there; you just didn’t see it.
The Sacred Traveler Wants You to Know: On the journey, the traveler confronts dragons and overcomes obstacles, and in the process discovers the depth of the treasure in their soul. Often treasure is found in the most unexpected places. Sometimes after it seems that you’ve faced an inner dragon, you’ll find the hidden treasure. Success begets success. So as you begin to seek and find the bounty in your life, more and more rewards will follow. This card heralds a bountiful, prosperous, abundant time in your life.

IMPASSE: “Reflect and redirect your energy.
Turning back isn’t necessarily a failure, sometimes it’s the wisest thing you can do. If there’s an area in your life where there’s an impasse, the Universe is telling you to use this as a time to reflect and redirect your energy in another way. Wisdom is knowing when to back down, turn around, and then let it go. There are times in life to breakthrough barriers, and these are times to change direction. There is an area in your life regarding relationships, business, finances, health, or your life path that needs to be evaluated. Perhaps a new route is needed.
The Sacred Traveler Wants You to Know: If you reach an impasse in life, instead of protesting that it’s unfair or unwarranted, change your course. Do it quickly and easily. Instead of focusing on what’s not working, focus on what can work and what steps are needed to create a different outcome. This is the sign of a sage. The wise one views an obstacle, and if it’s impassable, he immediately steps back and goes a different way. Therein dwells the sage’s success. Whatever the obstacle in your life, you have learned what you needed to learn, now back away and choose a different path.

WATCHING CLOUDS: “Lie back, rest, and relax.”
Lie back. Relax. Put everything aside and take time to renew your energy. It’s often when you totally relax that new insights and awareness can emerge. Take deep, full breaths. Put your feet up. Be present in each moment. Do nothing. Watch clouds. The answers that you seek will emerge easily, but first you need to stop all activity. Take naps. Evaluate your life.
The Sacred Traveler Wants You to Know: There are times when the most empowering thing the traveler can do is to step off the path, stretch out, and lie on the earth to watch the clouds float by. This act is renewing and regenerating. When all the activity of the road diminishes and the traveler allows a languid relaxation to emerge, this most often the time when the presence of Spirit can be felt. This is also the time when significant signs appear. Whatever is the most relaxing to you – stretching out in a hammock, watching clouds, taking a candlelit bath, or walking on the seashore – do it, and the challenges in your life will diminish and often drop away.
