In this lifetime, you are being offered the wisdom of all that has gone before in order to continue the healing journey of your own soul. You are surrounded by the energy of the peach blossom tree, a great old tree that grows deeps within the Kitsune realms, and those who reach it are small compared to its mighty branches. You are now climbing the tree of immortality, and as you climb, your soul is refining itself, becoming more pure, more wise, shedding all that once held you back. The tree of the immortals whispers to you that you are one of its children, that you are immortal, and that you will return to its branches again and again in the lifetimes to come.
The tree of immortality knows that you are growing strong, and it will offer to you now some of its vast wisdom, so that you can climb further into the journey of the soul. Know that you are being offered time here in this lifetime to complete your soul’s tasks, to be surrounded by beauty and joy, and to have aspirations for your physical form. You are asked not to attempt to force some kind of inhuman perfection on yourself. Instead, the tree of immortality asks your to embrace yourself and to love yourself with patience and kindness, for with this love there will come a flowering of the soul, and the joy and peace you seek will come to you in this energy of love. For now, though, child of the peach flowers, sit awhile in the branches of the tree of immortality, the tree that has seen infinite ages, infinite changes. THE GARDEN OF THE NIGHT: There are spaces and places within the world of the Kitsune that can be found within the human world, too. One of the most magickal places of all is a place where we can connect with the moonlight, in a world that is no longer lit brightly, but gleaming with silver, the same as it is during our waking hours, yet entirely different because of the gift of moonlight. When this card appears, you are being asked to look at a situation, person or concern from a very different perspective, and to allow yourself the space to contemplate it at a quiet time, in solitude, under the silver light of the moon.
Within this space there will be imaginative new ways to approach any difficulties, and your inventiveness and ability to dream into being a new approach will be of great help during the daylight hours, which so often belong to the world of work, of family, of others. In these in-between times, guarded by moonlight, you will not only be able to solve the problem before you, but you will have time alone to rediscover aspects of your soul that cannot seem to be fully expressed at this time during the day. At night, there is another you, another part of your identity which can be explored and in time, allowed to flourish. For you are the gardener of your own soul, and you will tend to what needs to grow within the moonlit hours, and allow it, in time, to come forth into the light of day, and become more integrated into the everyday aspects of your world. For now, find this space and place, and be illuminated with the silver light of imagination and of infinite possibility. WILLING ENTANGLEMENT: When this card appears, know you are being shown the ways in which our promises can bind us, and in time, begin to restrict us, and yet, we have given our word. This is the conundrum of human entangle-ment, of all relationships – there is the bonding and the beauty of what we can gift each other, and there is the binding that comes with the responsibility of love. For this is the card of a person who takes responsibility seriously, and who has serious responsibilities – as does this elven one, friend to the Kitsune, who working her magick in unison with this tree, for as long as it takes to unbind him from the burdens of those who would exploit nature. This beautiful being has given her pledge to be of assistance with the tree beings – and yet, it has brought her great restrictions and bindings, and even a sense of being imprisoned. This she willingly does, for it is not permanent, and the energy she is offering this tree will lead to its freedom.
So, know that in your own life there are pledges we make when all is well, and when times become difficult, we then willingly continue, for we know we wish to keep our word and honor our commitments. It is not easy, but it is done willingly, and it is our serious task, and we learn a great deal about what we can do for others – so this is a willing sacrifice before you now, and one that is good, which will lead to many blessings. Know that there will be a sense of restriction and frustration, and that there are many wishes and hopes that seem to be on hold for now. Yet, while you weave your own magick within these strong boundaries, know that you are creating great power and growing stronger within. When the time comes, and it will, dear one, the cords will fall away, and the time will come for you to move and be free and wander where you will once again.
Yet, she is aware that others are also making their pledges, sending their wishes, and tying them to this great old tree, upon which many a charm and a spell has been woven. And she now is weaving her healing with her own bindings, and giving her energy to this tree, fulfilling a responsibility and a charge she has decided to take up, so that in time, this great tree can be free of all that is asked of him, over and over. While you subordinate yourself and your own desires to do this great commitment, know you will be watched over, and that there is greater fulfilment awaiting you, too, very soon.
