MY AUTHENTIC SELF

Sometime in the lost years of the 1970s, a man looked at me across a table in a bar and asked, “Who are you?” I began to list all the activities I enjoyed, that I felt made me who I was.
“No, no, no! Not what you do, but who are you?” he demanded.
“What do you mean?” I was so confused.
He refused to discuss this any longer since I had no idea what he meant. He escorted me to the dance floor signaling a change in conversation.
I never forgot that question, who are you? I eventually learned who I was, but it took many years to really understand in my heart who I AM.
If someone asked me today who I am, I would answer them by saying, I AM a Divine Sovereign being, an incarnated soul living in this human body, doing the best I can to safely experience life on planet Earth, learning and evolving spiritually.
This statement is as close as I can get to describing myself and who I am. Life on earth as a Lightworker, intuitive channel for Spirit, Sisterhood of the Rose member and heart-healer in service for the benefit of all beings is a solitary kind of existence right now. Covid-required shut-downs certainly put the damper on my out-going nature. Spirit continues to download ideas into my conscious and sub-conscious mind, keeping me busy.
I AM my authentic self, right now in this present moment. I am happily enjoying my life, taking each day as it presents itself. I love writing and being a channel for Spirit. I Am right where I belong, learning to love who I Am.
If you were asked the question, who are you, how would you answer? Would you rely as I did by listing all the things you do or would you speak of yourself from your heart, how the call of Spirit guides you each and every day to fulfill your true life purpose?
