REMEBERING WHO I AM, Part 1
I am in search of the little girl I used to be, so fearless, not worried about anything. So filled with Light and energy, she ran everywhere. Boundless energy. An adept shapeshifter, her favorite animal was a horse. Not just any horse but a beautiful white stallion that was also her first power animal and protector. On family road trips, she would see the stallion running near the truck.
This little girl enjoyed life, embraced it with a passion of an adventurer who can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner. An explorer at heart, she loved to follow game trails out in the open fields and hills where she hiked. If she was lucky, she might see a herd of horses grazing on the grass. White-faced cows would watch her intently, their flight response kicking in when she approached too close to them.
Her mother tried her best to civilize her daughter. Shirley Temple hair, (natural curl) frilly dresses and patent leather shoes were worn for special occasions. Pants were what she really liked to wear. She was a free spirit with an abundance of things to do that brought her pleasure. In pants she could roll on the grass, play in the dirt and climb everything she could. An active child, little girl games were not her style. The energy that flowed through her kept her exuberantly moving through life.
She had few responsibilities as a young child. Her life was a huge adventure and her active, vivid imagination provided endless scenarios to explore. When I find this beautiful little girl, I will ask her to teach me to be more like her.
